Turn your Bonpan Cake Mix into a soft and moist banana cake filled with warm cinnamon and crunchy walnuts.
Ingredients
- 1 bag Bonpan Cake Mix
- 2 large eggs
- 2 medium very ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
- ¼ cup (60 ml) milk
- ⅓ cup (75 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¾ cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and prepare one 8-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth.
- Add the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- Add the Bonpan Cake Mix and cinnamon. Mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the chopped walnuts, reserving a small amount for the top, if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle the reserved walnuts over the top.
- Bake at 350°F for approximately 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely before serving.

- 1 cup (120 g) confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Whisk together the confectioners' sugar, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
- If necessary, add a small amount of milk until the glaze reaches a thick but pourable consistency.
- Drizzle over the completely cooled cake.
- Finish with chopped walnuts and a light sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
- Allow the glaze to set for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
